This IoT (Internet of Things) tutorial is written by industry experts to provide basic and advanced concepts of IoT.
It is written in very simple language to provide maximum benefit to beginners as well as professionals. Here, you will get everything in simple and easy steps.
What is IoT?
IoT stands for Internet of Things. It means we can access and control daily machineries, equipments and devices by using Internet.
It is a system of interrelated computing devices, mechanical and digital machines, objects, animals or people that are provided with unique identifiers (UIDs) and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction.
The definition of IoT is evolved over the time due to the convergence of multiple technologies, real-time analytics, machine learning, commodity sensors, and embedded systems etc. Traditional fields of embedded systems, wireless sensor networks, control systems, automation (including home and building automation), and others all contribute to enabling the Internet of Things.
The main goal of IoT is to attain the concept of the "smart home", which includes the devices and appliances i.e. lighting fixtures, thermostats, home security systems and cameras, and other home appliances. These all devices support one or more common ecosystems, and can be controlled via devices associated with that ecosystem, such as smartphones and smart speakers.
Before start learning IoT, it will be good if you have the basic knowledge of of Internet, programming language, and electronics.
